Tai chi for Osteoporosis
I am 62 years old and have osteoporosis and I've been pracitising taichi for arthritis quite regularly for about 3 or 4 years. I have no pain or problems with osteoporosis, will my bones be strenghtened with the form I'm doing, or would I get more benefit from the taichi for osteoporosis form -or any other form?

Great to hear from you. There is a study recently published showing that after practiced six months of Tai Chi for Arthritis both Part I and II, participants BMD actually improved. Tai Chi can help, although osteoporosis is a complex condition and it does take a lot of work to reverse it. Other studies have shown tai chi slow it down 3 times.
Tai Chi for Osteoporosis is similar and different, it does put slightly more exertion and has Yang style movements too. My recommendation: continue Tai Chi for Arthritis, if you can add Part II and then Tai Chi for Osteoporosis as well.
