| Instructor Profile: | Professor Smiley is a health educator with over 30 years of college teaching experience. For 20 years he has been on the health faculty at Normandale Community College where he has developed the curriculum for and currrently teaches courses on tai chi, healing qigong, and stress management. In 2006 the graduating class at Normandale selected Dr. Smiley as the "Outstanding Teacher of the Year." Dr. Smiley was introduced to Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan over 25 years ago, and began working with Dr. Lam and the Sun Style in 2000. Having taught Tai Chi for 18 years, he continues teaching both Sun and Yang Style, and healing qigong in the college and community setting. In addition to being a MT for Tai Chi for Arthritis, Dr. Smiley has instructor certificates in: Tai Chi for Diabetes. Back Pain & Osteoporosis; First Responder; and Basic Life Support (CPR & AED). |
